Den Hartogh Logistics is a leading bulk Logistics Service Provider to the Chemical, Gas, Polymer and Dry Bulk Food industry. We have integrated our Logistic Services in four Business Units: Liquid Logistics, Global Logistics, Gas Logistics, and Dry Bulk Logistics. About the role

The significant growth of Den Hartogh Logistics requires an investment in developing the European Commercial team for the Business Unit Dry Bulk as well as Key Account Management for strategic customers.


To meet the changing demands of the business and ensure the future successful growth ambitions of Den Hartogh Logistics has identified a need for a Commercial Manager Dry Bulk within the Benelux.


Together with the European Sales Manager you will be part of our team of Commercial Managers in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands. As a team you will define, implement and execute the commercial strategy.



  • Promote the commercial vision and strategy of Den Hartogh Logistics keeping a strong pulse on customer and market developments and respond fast and effectively to market changes and opportunities
  • Identify and create new business opportunities focussed on innovation and formulate new ways of business by leveraging customer needs and partnerships
  • Drive the consultative selling of services within Den Hartogh Logistics and resist commoditization by selling more complex and innovative solutions
  • Create ambitious goals and strive for better performance and revenues ensuring Den Hartogh Logistics is visible as a successful and reliable partner
  • Influence senior management, gain commitment and support for proposed ideas and handle objections through solid reasoning
  • Stimulate cross selling amongst the commercial team and the Business Units

Job requirements

Experience and knowledge

  • A degree in management or commerce
  • At least 5 years commercial experience in a B2B environment of which at least 2 years should be in a senior role focussing on selling services – and concepts
  • Experience in companies dealing with dry bulk, warehousing or liquid bulk, would clearly be an advantage
