About the role 

In the role of (2nd line) ICT Support Engineer, you’ll trouble shoot and find a solution for the ICT issues that your colleagues might experience on a day-to-day basis. This can be in the area of e.g. operating systems, applications, networking, remote access, email and telephony.

This will give you great insight in all of Den Hartogh’s technology and our way of working. You’ll get the opportunity to learn about the business, develop yourself and provide excellent ICT support through teamwork and fun in business. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Communicate proactively with the (international) users, ICT suppliers and ICT team
  • Provide 2nd line support on (remote) desktops, laptops, mobile devices, operating systems, printers, email and telephony
  • Support and troubleshoot business applications
  • Support and troubleshoot networking issues
  • Participate and support various ICT projects
  • Provide hands-on support in other offices / countries (occasional travel)

Job requirements

About you:

You are a technology savvy professional with our customers and users always top of mind. You show initiative and have a talent for problem solving and keeping the overview when it gets hectic. You get things done and you work well in a team. To be successful is this role requires;

  • Bachelor (level) in the field of ICT, Logistics or similar
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a dynamic and international environment (experience within logistics is preferable)
  • Technology driven and keeping up with the latest developments
  • Team player with customer and user support always top of mind
  • Strong in planning and problem solving
  • Proactive and motivated to constantly improve and achieve results
  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate with colleagues in various roles over the world
  • Fluent English, written and verbal. Dutch and other languages are preferable.
