To support us in realizing our ambitions, we have a great opportunity for a fulltime Operations Coordinator – Modality Planning in our office in Rotterdam.

Our Modality Planning is responsible for the operational management of our Intra European rail & ferry services. Each day our Tank Containers arrive in depots across Europe. The Modality Team verifies the departures & arrivals of the Tank Containers and organizes the customs formalities on these Intra European services. Any delay or disturbance on these services could impact our customer satisfaction. Your team monitors these services and liaises with the several teams across Europe to make sure our customer is informed, and the impact is minimized. With a pro-active attitude and by using creative logistic solutions it is our aim to offer alternative solutions in case of (possible) deviations! With the Brexit and an increase of customs legislation you with work together with the custom administrators across Europe to ensure the correct custom declarations are followed.

As Operations Coordinator you lead the Modality Planning (8 FTE) and report to the Director Operations

Your qualifications, experience & skills:

• An education at Bachelor level or higher;
• Experienced in the (maritime) logistics and transport sector, preferably in transport of liquid chemicals;
• Experienced with Transport planning (preferably intermodal) and/or custom declaration;
• Strong people skills and experience in leading a team;
• Strong analytical skills and experience in process improvement;
• Digital savvy;
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
