The Role


Situated in Singapore, the Pricing Anaylst is a supportive role for the Commercial Team. You must be comfortable with numbers, analytical, able to work in a team, and pro-actively offer quotations and rates to the customers. The Pricing Analyst is the “gatekeeper” in ensuring an accurate profitable quotation is churned out in a timely and accurate manner. Concurrently, the Pricing Analyst is the subject matter expert for internal stakeholders. Advising the best port of entry, haulage and all cost matters in the region will be under his/her preview.


The quotation process plays a crucial role in the sales function of Den Hartogh Logistics. The business must be won at a profitable price with quotes of high quality. The quotes are an important input for operational processes and post calculation tasks.


Dealing with all costs matter related for the region, he/she must be able to advise in a timely and accurate manner for all inquiries from colleagues in the overseas offices to allow them to price effectively and accurately as well for the region.



Other responsibilities includes:

  • Administration of regional pricing schedule and maintenance of same.
  • Ensuring agents adherence to maximum monthly export quotas and minimum USD per day targets, unless otherwise approved by Den Hartogh.
  • Ensuring all destinations cost requests to agents from inside and outside region are responded to promptly accurately.
  • Assisting agents to receive prompt response on similar requests, both inside and outside region.
  • Manage all regional tender requirements, for contractual business, including collation of costs per above, and tender submissions via spreadsheet and web.
  • Any other ad hoc functions as required, including support of commercial and operational functions, subject to completion of core functions.
  • Reporting to the Regional Commercial Manager of South-East Asia / Oceania and working closely with all the office functions and network.
  • Customer service functions, dealing with customers in prompt and courteous manner through email or phone.
  • Understand the customer’s needs and strategy.
  • Build a knowledge centre for the region and network.

Job requirements

Successful Candidates

  • Microsoft Office skills
  • English & a 2nd Language
  • Minimum degree level
  • At least 2.5 years in a similar pricing function / role
  • Preferably with both shipping line and freight forwarding experience
  • Experience handling tenders and RFQs
  • Meticulous and detailed orientated
  • Singaporean / Singapore PR
