Projectmanager planning analytics & sustainability

Netherlands, Zuid-Holland, RotterdamLiquid - Planning

Job description

Where are you going to work?

Royal Den Hartogh Logistics is one of the leading Logistics Service Providers. Our family-owned organization was established in The Netherlands in 1920. As a bulk logistics service provider for the chemical, gas, polymer and food industry, we combine the best elements to create the optimal solution for each situation. Safety and operational excellence are embedded in our culture. Den Hartogh has a presence in every region of the world, with premises/offices in 50 locations within 29 countries. Our workforce consists of more than 2,100 people and our modern equipment includes 23,970 tank containers, 5,791 dry bulk containers and specialised dry bulk trailers, 340 tank trailers and 659 trucks.

What are you going to do?

As project manager tank planning analytics & sustainability you are wearing two hats which makes your jobs challenging and divers:

As project manager tank planning analytics you are positioned in the heart of the company. The tank planning department is responsible for allocating tankcontainers to dozens of transport orders we receive every day from our customers throughout the European continent. Additionally, to make sure to always have enough tank containers available, the tank planning department closely manages its regional stock levels and, if needed, empty position tank containers. In a volatile market, a wide variety of customer requirements and a large number of different types of tank containers, this is a complex puzzle.

That is where you come in! As project manager tank planning analytics you are leading, developing and implementing innovative processes, tools and data-solutions to solve this puzzle. This means you like to be an all-rounder. For example, during the day, you might be presenting your ideas about future tankplanning applications to management in the morning, while working after lunch at your statistical forecasting algorithm and closing the day discussing the stock management plan for upcoming weeks with the tank planning team.

Secondly, we also like you to take part on our environmental sustainability journey. Within Royal Den Hartogh Logistics we recognize our environmental responsibility within our Supply Chain. We are continuing to embrace this journey in ways that will help to reduce our carbon footprint. As project manager sustainability we like you to support in further developing our sustainability strategy, making our emission calculation more accurate and work with business teams to bring sustainability initiatives into practice.
