To support this growth, Den Hartogh is looking to recruit a Terminal Operator for our Carrington site.  This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure in a fast-paced environment where you will gain a good understanding of the business as a whole, enabling you to shape your future career with Den Hartogh.

About the role:

Den Hartogh’s Carrington Terminal is based on Lyondell Basell’s polypropylene site in Carrington.  It consists of 4500m2 of surface area to accommodate 260 x 30ft containers and a range of 20ft tanks.

We have various on-site operations that consist of:

• Loading 30ft containers from plant silos for storage and distribution from terminal
• We specialize in the concept of fitment of a plastic liner in a container for all product loadings. Fitment and removal/disposal activities of these liners are carried out on site.

The working pattern is 45 hours per week on a shift pattern between the hours of 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Job requirements

About you:

The ideal candidate will have the following licencing requirements but full training and certification will be given to the successful candidate.

• Experience/certificated in the safe operations of articulated Terberg internal site vehicles -{ITSSAR/RTITB /NPORS licensed or equivalent } HGV licence would be advantageous but not essential
• Licensed in the safe operations of 45tes Container Reachstackers or similar container handling equipment- {ITSSAR/RTITB /NPORS licensed or equivalent}
• F.L.T Licensed - {ITSSAR/RTITB /NPORS licensed or equivalent}
• Good knowledge and experience of health & safety at work is essential
• Good communication skills
• Computer literate would be advantageous but not essential
