The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within our busy Operations Department, supporting the efficient and effective execution of daily transport activities across the UK and EIRE. The role includes a mix of administrative responsibilities, data analysis, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives. It's ideally suited to someone with a strong administrative background who is eager to build a career in transport planning and logistics.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily transport activities by coordinating vehicle movements with accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist planners with load planning, routing, and vehicle scheduling
  • Maintain and update transport management systems and internal databases
  • Liaise with hauliers, drivers, and stakeholders to troubleshoot and ensure execution of transport plans
  • Prepare and analyse transport data and KPIs to support planning and decision-making
  • Identify inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements across the transport function
  • Provide essential administrative support including documentation, compliance, and reporting

Job requirements

Successful candidates will have:

  • A strong administrative background with a real interest in transport or logistics
  • Highly organised and a great communicator, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working with data and systems like Excel, TMS, or similar platforms
  • A natural problem solver who’s proactive and eager to learn
  • Able to work independently and as part of a fast-paced, collaborative team
  • Keen to develop into a more planning-focused position over time
