Job description

Ambitious People Realising Creative Logistics Solutions.

Where will you be working?

You will be joining Royal Den Hartogh Logistics, an international and leading logistics service provider for the chemical, gas, polymer and food industries. Our family-owned company has been established since 1920, with safety and sustainability deeply embedded in our DNA.

Together with our customers and partners, we continuously develop smart logistics solutions that support an efficient and future-proof supply chain. With 54 locations across 27 countries, a global team of over 2,600 colleagues, and a modern fleet of 25,000 tank containers, 5,000 dry bulk containers and trailers, 575 tank trailers, and almost 900 trucks, we have everything in place to make an impact worldwide.

Ready to make an impact beyond the numbers?

We are looking for an experienced Finance & Administration Manager who wants to play an active role in the business, not just report on it. This is a broad, hands-on leadership position where finance, business partnering and people leadership come together. You will work closely with local management and the Dutch Headquarters, lead the finance and administration team, and have a real opportunity to influence how the business performs and develops.

The role:

  • Turn financial results and KPIs into clear business insights and actions;

  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial control;

  • Manage cash flow, working capital and financial performance;

  • Lead and manage accounting and payroll processes;

  • Oversee local finance, payroll, HR and corporate administration;

  • Lead and develop the local finance and administration team;

  • Challenge existing ways of working and drive simplification, digitalisation and cost improvement.

Why join us?

This role offers more than traditional finance management. It gives you the opportunity to:

  • Be close to the business and contribute directly to management decisions;

  • Shape and improve local processes rather than simply maintain them;

  • Combine financial expertise with leadership, business partnering and operational impact;

  • Work in an international environment, collaborating with local management and HQ;

  • Take genuine ownership and responsibility, with the freedom to challenge, improve and make things happen.

Job requirements

What you can expect from us

You will become part of a down-to-earth, globally operating family company where safety, quality, ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement matter. You can expect:

  • A responsible and influential position with direct exposure to management;

  • The opportunity to bring your ideas and improve how we work;

  • A collaborative culture built around ownership, openness and getting things done together;

  • A varied role combining finance, leadership and business involvement;

  • Opportunities to develop professionally within an international organisation;

  • A competitive employment package aligned with the responsibilities of the position.

Most importantly, this is a role where finance is expected to be close to the business. Your expertise will help shape decisions, improve performance and support the continued development of the organisation.

What do you bring?

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting or controlling and a relevant university degree;

  • Strong knowledge of P&L, reporting, budgeting and forecasting and experience in an international business environment;

  • Strong Excel and ERP skills;

  • A proactive, hands-on and improvement-oriented mindset;

  • Fluent Hungarian and good business English;

  • Experience in logistics or transportation is an advantage.

Does this sound like you?

You take ownership, see the bigger picture and turn numbers into action. You enjoy working closely with the business, developing people and finding better ways of working. If you are looking for a finance leadership role where your ideas, expertise and decisions can make a visible difference, we would like to hear from you.
