Den Hartogh Scandinavia has since the last couple of years been expanding rapidly, and we strive to continue this journey during the coming years. One of our Swedish offices is located in Gothenburg City center and the other one Den Hartogh Logistics Service Center (LSC) is located in Stora Holm, with our own terminal for activities like cleaning, heating, repair, storage and homebase for our drivers.

The Role

As a Customer Service Representative at Den Hartogh, you are the main contact person for your customers. You will network with all internal stakeholders to service the customer(s) or escalate as appropriate. As the customer service representative, you will link with commerce to provide guidance, support and information to create chemistry with our customers, providing optimal supply chain solutions on export and import enquiries. You are the face of Den Hartogh DryBulk Logistics to our customer(s), offering a point of contact who answers all your customers queries, handles compliments, complaints, implements new lanes, and executes financial and operational analysis to enable continuous improvement.  Fulfilling your daily tasks in line with the Den Hartogh values and behaviors.

Together with your colleagues, you will provide sustainable transport solutions, always looking for opportunities to upsell and ensure the customer is fully aware of all products/services. You will be agile, constantly switching between customer service, managing orders, liaising with operations, discussing developments in sales, and pro-actively streamline internal processes to drive customer centricity and continuous improvement.

Job requirements

Successful candidates

Will have good organisational skills, be an excellent communicator and eager to understand all aspects of our business. We are a global company so it is important to be fluent both in Swedish & English. As the main point of contact for your customers, you will provide excellent customer service and have the desire to build relationships internally and externally.

Furthermore, you will have:

  • a minimum of two years customer service experience in a logistics and/or shipping environment

  • an education preferably in international logistics or similar;

  • experience of working in a customer facing role;

  • an outstanding sense of responsibility, with a pro-active and structured approach to customer centricity;

  • attention to detail, the ability to work structured and well under pressure, be able to adapt quickly to market changes - internally and externally, with a willingness to respond rapidly and flexibly to customer demands;

  • excellent communication skills, diplomatic and sophisticated in interactions with the internal and external stakeholders;

  • willingness to undertake training and development activities;

  • previous experience of account management is desirable

  • drivers license B is an advantage
