Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic People & Culture professional to join us for a temporary position to cover for parental leave. The assignment will preferably start in the beginning of May 2026 and last for approximately 13 months.

 

In this role you are responsible for all local People & Culture (P&C) related topics for Den Hartogh Sweden, and you will provide advice and guidance to managers and employees. You report to the General Manager Scandinavia and have a strong link to the P&C Manager Europe, as you will be a part of a global P&C Team. We are eager to find the right person, and will be flexible when it comes to the extent of the scope, which can be between 70-100%, depending on the chosen candidate.

Den Hartogh Scandinavia has since the last couple of years been expanding rapidly, and we strive to continue this journey during the coming years. Our Swedish offices are located in Gothenburg City center and at our terminal in Säve. The terminal also provides activities like cleaning, heating, repair, storage and homebase for our drivers. The position is based in Gothenburg, with occasional visits to our other locations in Sweden.

Job requirements

Your responsibilities includes

  • Be responsible for operational P&C topics within our division and ensure that P&C processes support the business's goals and development

  • Be first line contact for managers and employees for all P&C related topics

  • Advise and coach managers on the application of P&C policies and procedures (e.g, performance management, remuneration, work environment, diversity & inclusion, discipline and grievance, succession planning, attendance, training and development etc.)

  • Manage and participate in union relations

  • Support in change processes where needed

  • Assist managers in understanding the implications of labor legislation and other statutory requirements

  • Ensure the effective management and administration of policies and procedures within the business

  • Enhance local P&C processes and policies   

  • Provide statistics and analysis for our division on a regular basis, making full use of the HR system Workday

  • Support the recruitment activity within Den Hartogh Sweden when needed

Your profile
We are looking for you who feels comfortable in your profession, enjoys being part of a company where every day is different and can work independently in a dynamic and international environment. We believe that you have at least 3-5 years’ proven experience in the field of Human Resources with a good knowledge of Swedish labor law. Experience of working with non-office staff and in organizations with collective agreements is an advantage. System knowledge of Workday is meritorious. When it comes to education you have a bachelor or equivalent in Human Resources, and due to our international environment, it is important to be fluent both in Swedish and in English.

You will get a position with a lot of independence and responsibility in a organization with ambitious goals. To be successful in this position you have excellent communication- and social skills, high integrity and are confidential in nature. You are very structured, confident in decision making and have the ability to prioritize your tasks to perform your work efficiently with a prestige less attitude. In addition, a driver’s license is desired to be able to work from both Gothenburg offices.
