Royal Den Hartogh Logistics is a logistics service provider specialized in the transportation of liquid chemicals, gases and dry bulk. It is a growing and informal organization with over 2,700 employees worldwide. Den Hartogh has modern equipment, including more than 25 000 tank containers, 4,900 dry bulk containers, 575 tank trailers and 900 trucks. 
 
Den Hartogh Scandinavia has since the last couple of years been expanding rapidly, and we strive to continue this journey during the coming years. We are today 60 colleagues and continue to grow. Swedish offices is located in Gothenburg City center and the Den Hartogh Logistics Service Center (LSC) is located in Stora Holm, with our own terminal for activities like cleaning, heating, repair, storage and homebase for our drivers.  

About the role  

As Production Manager at LSC, you will be responsible for the operational work at the Depot to ensure we deliver service in a timely manner and provide optimal standards regarding production, safety, and employee engagement.  

The role involves significant responsibility and autonomy, including performance management, safety oversight, cost controll and serving as a key liaison with external authorities and partners. 

You will  

  • Oversee daily operations of the terminal, ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe, efficient and structured way. 

  • Communicate and plan with the specialists to ensure all activities are done in a timely manner.  

  • Develop and manage the depot’s budget, ensuring financial targets are met. 

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve financial efficiency. 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, safety standards and legal requirements

  • Ceate awareness and contribute to our safety culture  

  • Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. 

  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments. 

  • Assure KPI-setting is reached together with P&NL 

  • Maintain high-quality customer relations and ensure customer satisfaction, both with internal and external stakeholders

  • Lead the site staff and mange a smaller team of specialist including yearly performance cycle 

Job requirements

Successful candidates 

To be successful in this position it is important to have:

  • proven experience in a management role, preferably within a depot or similar environment. 

  • proven leadership and staff management skills. 

  • financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial reporting. 

  • organizational skills and an eager to understand all aspects of our business.  

  • excellent communication skills and to be fluent both in Swedish & English.

  • a great capability to structure the daily work to deliver on deadlines and an ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively 

  • comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and ability to adapt to compliance requirements. 

  • Driver’s license B
